Who We Are

ELI•Connect is a product of EGT Technologies LLC, a technology company based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This privacy policy governs your use of the ELI•Connect mobile application.

What We Collect and Why

Account information:

When you create an account, you provide either an email address and password, or sign in using your Google account

This information is used solely to authenticate your identity and secure your data

Information you provide during onboarding:

Health goals and known health conditions you choose to share
Body metrics you choose to provide
Dietary preferences and restrictions

This information is used to personalize your experience and set goals displayed on your dashboard

Information you log while using the app:

Food and nutrition entries
Water intake
Supplement and vitamin intake
Fitness and movement data
Any personal tracking categories you create (moods, sleep, relationships, habits, or anything else you choose to track)
Recipes you create

All of this is stored and used exclusively to surface patterns and insights for you

Information collected automatically:

App usage data to support app functionality
Device information required for app operation

HealthKit data (Apple devices only):

If you choose to enable HealthKit, ELI•Connect will read fitness and movement data from your Apple Health app

We do not write to HealthKit
HealthKit data is never used for advertising or sold to third parties
You can revoke HealthKit access at any time through your iPhone Settings

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to:

Authenticate your account and keep your data secure
Display your daily tracking results on your dashboard
Generate summaries when you request them
Power the Pattern Recognition Intelligence Engine to surface patterns in your life
Improve your personalized experience over time

We do not:

Sell your data to anyone, ever
Use your data for advertising
Share your data with third parties except as described below
Use your data to make medical diagnoses or treatment recommendations

Third Party Services

To provide core functionality, ELI•Connect uses the following third party services:

Google Firebase Authentication — used to manage account creation and sign-in, including email/password and Google Sign-In options. Authentication data is processed by Google. Their privacy policy is available at policies.google.com
Google Firebase — used for secure data storage. Your tracking data is stored in Firebase under your unique user account. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com
Google Gemini — used to power ELI's conversational AI capabilities. Conversation data is processed to generate responses. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com
FatSecret API — used to look up nutritional information for food items you log. When a food search is performed, query data is sent to FatSecret. Their privacy policy is available at fatsecret.com
USDA Food Database — a locally stored food index used for food lookups. No data is sent to USDA.
Apple HealthKit — used to sync fitness data on Apple devices, only with your explicit permission

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase with encryption in transit and at rest

Each user's data is stored under their unique account and is not accessible to other users
No human at EGT Technologies reads your personal tracking data
We retain your data for as long as your account is active
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting info@egt-technologies.com

Your Rights and Controls

You have the right to:

Access all data ELI•Connect has stored about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Revoke HealthKit permissions at any time through your iPhone Settings
Control what information is displayed on your dashboard at any time

Children's Privacy

ELI•Connect is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at info@egt-technologies.com and we will delete the account and all associated data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use of ELI•Connect after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
